2MPOWER! was founded July 5, 2019 by Katayoun Moini with the goal of revolutionizing medical education and patient care.

Our commitment to community empowerment:

1. DEVELOP holistic, socially responsible medical providers
2. Incorporate medical NUTRITION therapy into medical curriculums across local, national and global communities
3. Incorporate medical nutrition therapy into patient care and clinical practice
4. Integrate the ARTS (art/music/dance) into medical education and patient care
5. Provide the tools necessary to foster development of diverse medical providers who are able to provide medical care with excellence and kindness to all COMMUNITIES.
6. Support and ENCOURAGE collaboration

1. Development and incorporation of medical NUTRITION therapy curriculums for various medical education programs (PA, MD, Nursing, and more!)
2. Creation of INDIVIDUALIZED nutrition education resources and medical nutrition therapy plans for patients and medical practices
3. Development of clinical education materials for patients and providers with a focus in medical nutrition therapy, hematology/oncology and SOCIAL MEDICINE.
4. Creation and implementation of learner-centered and patient-centered teaching tools that incorporate the ARTS into education
5. Development of hematology/oncology, social medicine, gastroenterology, nephrology, physical diagnosis and patient interview curriculums
6. Advisement on accreditation for Physician Assistant programs
7. Creation of sports nutrition curriculum and education resources

Pit Therapy

Moini is a registered therapy animal handler and her pup Luci, is a registered therapy dog. 

Luci successfully completed Pet Partners Animal Handler Course and since 2013 has been providing Animal Assisted Interventions at schools, universities, healthcare facilities and airports. Animal-assisted interventions are goal oriented and structured interventions that intentionally incorporate animals in health, education and human service for the purpose of therapeutic gains and improved health and wellness. Animal assisted therapy (AAT), animal-assisted education (AAE) and animal-assisted activities (AAA) are all forms of animal-assisted interventions.

Research shows that even a 10-minute interaction with a therapy animal can reduce depression, pain and stress and improve energy levels.
